What is the COP26 Carbon Battle Bus?

The COP26 Carbon Battle Bus refers to the UK roadshow of a 100% electric bus aiming to raise awareness of carbon reduction and showcase examples of sustainable action from across the country in the build up to the COP26 event in Glasgow. The Carbon Battle Bus began its journey in London on the 9th June 2021, and will Travel up through the UK until it reaches Glasgow on 31st October 2021.

The Carbon Battle Bus, run by The Planet Mark, will make stops on its journey through the UK to invite local innovators and solution creators to showcase their efforts. Throughout the journey, ‘carbon stories’ will be collected to further motivate and inspire other across the UK to take similar action in reducing carbon and increasing sustainability.

When will the Carbon Battle Bus be in our region?

The Carbon Battle Bus will be in the North East and Yorkshire Region from Friday 15th October – Sunday 24th October. The Battle Bus will be making 4 main stops at flagship events within our region:

Harrogate, Harrogate Convention Centre – 15th October

The bus will also make several smaller site visits and side-stops along its route throughout the North East and Yorkshire, but these stops are yet to be determined.
